Accessibility statement
KoraSafe is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
1. Our commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
2. Conformance status
The KoraSafe platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full conformance.
What we do well
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Keyboard navigable interface for core platform features
- Sufficient colour contrast for primary text content
- ARIA labels on interactive elements including navigation buttons and form controls
- Responsive design that supports browser zoom up to 200%
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
3. Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the platform have known accessibility limitations:
- Data visualisations: Some charts and diagrams in the governance dashboard may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide tabular data alternatives where possible.
- PDF exports: Generated PDF reports may not meet full accessibility standards. We are working on improving PDF accessibility.
- Complex interactive components: Some advanced UI components (such as the governance maturity radar and risk heat maps) have limited keyboard navigation. We are implementing progressive enhancements.
- Colour contrast on decorative elements: Some decorative gradient text and background elements on marketing pages may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. These elements are decorative and do not convey essential information.
4. Measures we are taking
KoraSafe is taking the following measures to improve accessibility:
- Including accessibility as part of our internal development guidelines
- Conducting regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing
- Training development team members on accessible coding practices
- Assigning clear accessibility goals and responsibilities
- Incorporating accessibility feedback into our product roadmap
